📝 My own Transformational Agenda

"Write a list."

To become a great writer and learn how to make a list in the case is needed in my book; I must practice doing them. So, this is my initial try. I will describe feelings, steps to follow, and other stuff I love. This way, I will nurture and inspire myself during this trip.

The title —The Transformation Agenda—I selected is from one of my favorite non-fiction books called Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike, Phil Knight. Following his vision, I identified seven primary goals that I perceive as my Six Big Moves, each with specific topics and tactics for achieving it.

Seven Big Moves

  1. Practice your writing skills. My main focus right now is to create confidence in my syntaxis and way of writing. I need to recognize my flaws and the number of mistakes in every essay I make to correct them. Fortunately, I had basic grammatical knowledge and could start this project. This way, I will perfect my technique. That got me to the second point.

  2. Expand your grammatical knowledge. I need to understand how grammatical tenses and subjects work together throughout a phrase and a paragraph to share my ideas accurately. This action includes paying more attention to the news and writings from several enterprises. I also have to leave writing in French as much as possible; their structures are confusing me a lot.

  3. Read at least ten pages a day. People tend to read more to increase their vocabulary and develop trust while using it. In my case—as a non-native speaker—I misspell several words that are similar in Spanish or French. Enhancing my reading ability will make me faster and precise in the future and help me spell new words correctly.

  4. Stop and highlight. The purpose of this activity is to draw attention to important information in a text. Every person does this in different manners. For instance, I learn more if I have a pen in my hand while reading. This feeling lets me make notes and reach them out later when needed. Another recourse I use is the cutting-edge guide I made during this pandemic. I continuously update it with highlighted material.

  5. Engage with no more than one writing way a the time. Recognizing the type of stories I love is crucial for continuing to do so in the long term. Focus yourself on identifying your favorite taste and follow it. It is not the same to read a novel by J. R. R. Tolkien than by Jules Verne. Even though they created magnificent fantasies, they did it differently.

  6. Do not be mad at you. Every new learner is demanding with himself, and sometimes they threaten their ideas through the process. Do not be one of them; allow yourself to make slips. You will learn more from them than you estimate. Nobody will die if you wrote fantasies without e.

  7. Write from the bottom of your heart. You are not a machine, said so, try to express each sentiment as a close friend, and approach it with kindness and humility. Acknowledge you are not perfect, and that is what makes you unique. Some days your passion will be at its highest capacity, some others, not that much. Be ready for those occasions—and enjoy them as equals.

Onward...

📌 Am I an artist?

Am I an artist?  " I guess no because I don't understand a thing when looking at a piece of art." That was the answer I gave myself every time I entered a museum. Does that mean I was insecure? Well, not exactly. I was overwhelmed.   So many techniques, periods, movements, and terms made me feel sick and weak . Art is hard! I didn't study art history or anything related, but I wanted to enjoy random sculptures and artworks. Then I thought, " that had to change."  I needed a  guide   easy to read, but I wanted to create it from scratch. One   day, I took my laptop, a bunch of white sheets and started asking questions to myself. Yes, from the basics like:  What is this?  What do you represent?  How many people painted you? What is the title?   Then, I questioned myself about the moment being there (in the Museum or Gallery). This is what I found: Do the shoes I use when visiting influence my experience?  Should I know the artist be...

🌠 Emma

"Write about one fear and turn it into a character." Everything started a cloudy morning in March. Moisture around the place provoked me to sneeze and wake up. I was sat in an enclosed room. Perhaps it was the living room. I got rid of the humid bindings covering my eyes. Nothing seemed to have life inside that negative space until the sound of two flies flying around gave me the notion of freedom. Somehow their movements were rhythmic symphonies. I still don't realize how I got there. The floor was jammed-packed with untied boots, and the walls were all coat-colored. For a moment, I thought I was dreaming. My weak back felt the pressure of gravity more than ever.       And Emma was there, leaning forward, looking strong, alive, persuasive, and also, methodical. Hatred was the first sentiment I experienced the moment I looked at her black-in-black eyes. Her right arm placed over her right knee added to the way she was staring at me, paralyzed the time.  She poin...

🌱 Evaluate

"Evaluate your progress, so far ." I think I'm still trying to figure out how I should write my articles—I mean, informal, or more formal?      I've learned several things I didn't know I could do in the past weeks. Like leaving my feelings and thoughts arrive before my critical mind or understand what an Oxford comma is. Namely, I noticed my mind and way of being are further interested in academic writing. However, today's text will be more  street,  also general .        I do believe today I'm a better writer, or at least, I write more confidently. For instance, yesterday, I received a topic and instantly perceived what to tell, and in the past week, I have felt that feeling other times—with just one exception, my 9th day called, "Something about teaching" that even made me sweat.       I've been reading many science-fiction books like Ready Player One, Dure, or the Narnia Series the last few months. While r...
