🌁 Jack. More Than a Character

"Write a story around your favorite fictional character." Videogames have always been a crucial part of my personal development since I was a kid, from  The Legend Of Zelda  to the  Uncharted  series. From linear games as  Golden Eye 007  to endless open-world games like  Skyrim . I still look back on the very first game I played, suffered, and finished.  Its name was  Banjo-Kazooie— A multi-platform game pretty similar to Super Mario 64 but more addictive and challenging for a nine-year-old guy.           Yeah, good times; however, this text is not about what experiences I have plunged inside. But rather about the character whom I connected with the most. Through extensive analysis, I ended up thinking of Jack. The elegant gentlemen, and main character from Bioshock.      The game starts at midnight in the Atlantic Ocean when Jack's airplane crashes during a mysterious collision. We se...

🎵 When I'm Gone.

"Write the story of your favorite song." Interest was my response toward  Without Me . Despair is the feeling that  Going Through Changes  produced in me. Love is the sentiment  Sing For The Moment  made me feel. Passion was what  Beautiful  activated that cold afternoon.  Till I Collapse  lit my inner flame, plus,  Lose Yourself  made me stay for a long time.       However, if there is a song that resumes all the reactions earlier mentioned and more, that would be  When I'm Gone.  When I'm Gone   was released in 2005, alongside Eminem's newest album  Curtain Calls, a nd quickly became a global sensation.      Because this four-minute-long story is the art piece that has touched me the most, it deserves its text. I consider it is worth ordering and describing the song from its various verses. Alright, that said, let us jump straight into today's matter. "Yeah, it's my life. ...

👾 Jump! Luigi! Jump!

"Write about something that happened to you when you were a child." Growing up on what was, literally, the other economic spectrum of the family marked my brothers and me forever. Here is the context. It was a period before cellphones in every pocket. Before constant anxiety and depression. Where Facebook and Twitter did not exist. A time when, from dawn to dusk, if kids were not in school, they were fooling around outside the house. Some families had the chance to have a video console or a computer of their own. Some others had the opportunity to install a pool or possess a big backyard behind the walls. Our case was neither of them.     For the adventurous-dynamic boys in my family, videogames were a chance, often our only one, to escape our drab houses—full of old books—and go into my grandparents' house to play some Nintendo stuff.     One night in December, dozens of cousins were gathered around the main table in what was my grandparents' old apartment; C...

🔥 The Leaves

Start your story with the line, “By the time I stepped outside, the leaves were on fire.” (Whether this is a literal fire is up to you.) "No, young lady, this place has never met fire. These beautiful and frozen leaves can't be heated. They emit a radioactive wave that destroys everything you use to try to burn them." said the Blue Bishop.       "Fascinating," responded Namina, the mist coming out from her mouth, mixed with the greatness of those four-meter-high and black trees perturbed her focus.       "When I was young, I lost dozens of lighters playing around with these old friends." added her grandfather.      He is lying to me. Nobody is that stupid to try more than three times the Fotia chance , she thought. "Why are you still alive?" Namina asked naively. I heard that three times is the maximum time of amounts you can disrespect the forest."       "Bullshit. That's what we tell people to avoid actin...

💣 The Bomb

"Write a story about someone who travels to the future and isn’t happy about how they’ve been treated after an event." I think I can work this out.      I'm on the very edge of total war, yes, a fight made for me. I don't know the magnitude of how dangerous it is. But it's big, perhaps I can take advantage of it. I don't have to reveal myself against the Korean government. The Americans will come for me.      The other regimes aren't as severe as the Asian ones. So now, I can imagine this scene as "Who pays the most, wins."      But wait! How did the Koreans know where I was hidden? I had at least four VPNs activated. That fact freaked me the most.      Do you not understand what I'm talking about?   Oh, you should have said that before. Alright, the anecdote goes like this. Nov. 8, 2020, 8:20 p.m. KST      Let's jump into the issue. My name is Fenech, and I grew up in Botswana.     ...

🚷 Not alone

Log entry: Moon 315 Hi, Lucas, here. When I woke up this morning, the car's gas marked twenty-seven kilometers left. I've been driving for four days, and I have relaxed a bit. It has been a good start. The last sign I saw marked only ten kilometers away. The old city of Constantinople isn't far away.       At the next gas station, I stopped the march just to admire Sultanbeyli. The next step is simple, I want to enter Hagia Sophia and wait there some weeks. I saw in an old book that there is a wire on the left-wing of the building. If I can find it, the main gate will open. Let's see.     Well, I think it is time to go.      I got to the place faster than I thought. Not a single truck, car, or SUV were in the way. However, my biggest surprise was finding the steel wire wasn't there, but the main gate was already open. The news before the virus reported thousands of Muslims hiding inside of the temple. I think the last one of them must have ...
